We're adressing our biggest issue!

Hey folks!

We plan to make 60% of you happier. How do you ask?

Alright, let me start a bit of our backstory. Back in our student days, we started the project on a game jam. It was a pirate ship battler. You would fire your cannons sideways AKA from the broadside of your ship. We thought it was quite fun already.

By time the project evolved and we ended up with what we built here. Our flashy and fast-paced NeoFlux Drift.

So we did a lot of playtesting. And we spent a lot of time thinking. Everyone liked the controls and got used to it. But we don't want to force people to get used to something.

Instead we asked:
- How can we make the game more accessible for everyone?
- How can we avoid turning it into a twin-stick shooter?

Although we LOVE twin-stick shooters, we just don't feel it's a good fit for NeoFlux Drift. It's a party game. It should be easy enough to be played with a joy-con. We want the drift better fitting to how you aim.

The answer's simple: Different weapon angles per battlecraft.

After years we came up with a solution that works just as we wanted it. It still adds a lot of depth without adding time to the craft customization.
We tried it out and were surprised how well it worked for us. But since this feature has not only to convince us - it has to convince you.

So, here's the deal:

We ask you play the attached prototype. Join our Discord and Let us know what you think about the controls - especially the shooting mechanics.

What do you get in return? A place in our credits as an "early hour drifter"!

We hope you like to new direction as much as we do! Looking forward to your feedback!
